Закон о регулировании финансовых учреждений: федеральный закон США (1978 г.), внесший серьезные изменения в механизм надзора и регулирования финансовых учреждений, в т. ч. создал Федеральный совет по надзору за финансовыми учреждениями для координации действий федеральных органов, обязал банки предоставлять кредиты своим сотрудникам и акционерам на чисто коммерческой основе, ввел федеральное регулирование электронных платежей, разрешил регулирующим органам издавать в отношении руководства банков распоряжения "прекратить и воздержаться впредь" (cease and desist order) от каких-либо действий, а также создал централизованный фонд пополнения ликвидности кредитных союзов;
